Return & Refund Policy
At CR Fence & Rail, we believe in offering high-quality railing kits at the best possible prices. That means we do not build in extra margins to cover returns, like many big-box stores. In exchange, we ask for your understanding that returns come with real costs, which you agree to accept when placing your order.
Our return window lasts for 365 days from your date of purchase.

You’re welcome to open 1 box for inspection risk-free. If you decide to return additional items, there are return costs and conditions outlined below.
🏷️ Why Our Prices Are So Low (and What That Means for Returns)
We keep prices low by not inflating them to account for returns. This means:
- We do not provide return labels
- Return shipping is 100% the customer’s responsibility
- Returns go to a specialized return facility, not the warehouse that shipped your order
- Returns incur handling, repackaging, or restocking fees depending on item condition
If you’re unsure about your purchase, we recommend opening and inspecting just one item before opening more.
📦 Return Location & Postage
- We do not issue prepaid return labels.
- Return shipping can be more expensive than the item itself.
- Do not return your item to the warehouse it shipped from. That location cannot receive it and your package may be rejected or disposed of.
- Returns must go to our authorized West Coast return center. This address is provided only after your return is authorized.
🔁 Return Conditions & Fees
We do not charge any fee for the first item you inspect. All other returns are subject to the following:

Box opened but reusable | $5 per box (post-only) or $15 per full kit (e.g. guardrail or cable kit) |
Box damaged or resealed with non-clear tape | Add $10 per new replacement box |
Parts missing or damaged | Up to 50% restocking fee |
Note: Kits must be returned complete. Partial kit returns are not eligible for refund.
🔧 Damaged or Missing Parts? That’s On Us.
If your item arrives with missing or damaged parts, we’ll replace them at no cost. This is not considered a return and no fees will apply.
🧾 How to Start a Return
- Submit a return request using the form at the bottom of this page. Include the exact item SKU(s) and quantities you wish to return.
- Wait for your return authorization number and return address.
- Ship the items using any carrier of your choice. You must purchase the return label yourself — we do not issue or reimburse shipping costs.
- Once received, we will inspect your return and process a refund within 10 business days. You will receive a breakdown of any fees deducted.
Refunds are only issued back to your original payment method. Your bank may take 3–5 additional business days to post the credit.
🚫 Unauthorized Returns
- Do not send returns to the address your item shipped from.
- Do not send a return without an authorization number.
- Unauthorized returns may be rejected, destroyed, or lost — and are not eligible for a refund.
